Honda Snags Red Dot Design Award for Sixth Consecutive Year

The Honda NC750X has continued its impressive six-year winning streak of securing the Red Dot Product Design award. Previous winners of the award have been the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, Forza 750, ADV 350, NT1100, CB750 Hornet and the XL750 Transalp.
The NC750X was introduced in 2012 and has since gained great traction with riders as the pinnacle in motorcycling versatility. Its reputation for a comfortable riding position, handling prowess, excellent fuel consumption along with performance has made it a popular choice. Not to mention its creative storage solutions.
The latest 2025 model of the NC750X was restyled and became the first motorcycle ever to include the bio-based polycarbonate resin Durabio in its new colour variation, Earth Khaki.
The NC750X’s 2025 re-styling was led by the team at Honda’s R&D centre in Rome, whose Project Leader, Valerio Aiello, commented:
"We’re delighted to receive the Red Dot design award for the NC750X. For the 2025 version, we concentrated on making it much more robust, clean and dynamic, while keeping in line with its basic concept. What I particularly like about the NC750X is its hybrid nature, in the sense that it passes through different categories of motorcycles taking inspiration from all of them: a bit adventure, a bit road and with the practicality of a scooter."
Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Design Centre, Honda R&D Co., Ltd. commented:
"We are very honoured to receive the Red Dot Design Award for the sixth consecutive year, and this year, we also received the iF Design Award. We believe that this is the result of people resonating with Honda Design’s passion of designs that enrich the lives of our customers through experiences and products resulting from a human-centric approach".
